Date night outfit!

Last night my husband and I finally had our date night thanks to my sister-in-law Becca that offered us free movie tickets to see Friends with Benefits. I wanted to do something really different with my hair and I came across a picture of Hedi Klum and Gwen Stefani with these really cute knots in their hair. I wanted to try and recreate this using my super cute neon bobby pins I got on sale at J Crew for 4th of July weekend. I decided to wear my favorite dress from h&m and I styled it with a jean jacket from the Gap my tribal sandals I got from DSW.com and gold jewelry.

Dress: H&M
Neon bobby pins: JCrew
Jean Jacket: Gap
Sandals: DSW
Jewelry: Flea market/ thrifted

After wearing the outfit for a while, I don't why, but I felt it didn't go well with the hairstyle so I decided to change. I grab my hot pink Banana Republic sweater (which I LOVE) and Banana Republic belt. I changed my shows to these really cute black leather ballet looking flats by Blowfish I got at Dillard's. I finished the look by shortening the necklace and adding a cuff (my cuff is a necklace I wrapped around my wrist and turned it into a cuff) for a more polished and put together look. My make up is very simple, shimmery pink eyeshadow with black mascara, bronzer on my cheeks and light pink lip gloss.

Dress: H&M
Neon bobby pins: JCrew
Sweater: Banana Republic
Belt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Dillard's
Jewelry: Flea market/ thrifted

Little Black Dress

Saturday night my husband and I attend our friends daughters quince/sweet sixteen birthday party and this is what I wore. I decided to borrow a dress instead of buying since I'm the process of loosing weight. I borrowed this gorgeous LBD from my friend Madeline. I loved the pockets and the pleats in the front to help disguise any imperfections post baby. We ended up having to take the kids so I did an up-do for comfort. I wanted to try out a new look for my make up so I found this cool angled smokey eye look in Allure magazine and e.l.f lip stain called "heartbreaker" for my lips. I wore leopard print shoe by Antonio Melani that I got at Dillard's with "peachy" by Revlon on my toes. I accessorized with gold jewelry since gold is in for the summer. The ring I got at f21 and the necklace/earring set at my local flea market. I fell in love with the necklace because its so different you can twist, turn, fold and mold it into any shape! Enjoy.

DIY Floppy chain hat

I came across a floppy chain hat on Bebe.com and I thought the hat was not worth the price and I figured I could just make my own and share it with you. Enjoy!

what you will need: a floppy hat ( I got mine at family dollar for $3)
a gold chain ( I got mine on sale at Joanns fabric store for $1)
                                 a pair of wire pliers
                                 a needle and black thread

You can visit familydollar.com and joann.com to find a store near you.

I wrapped the chain around the hat to find placement of were I wanted the chain to lay. I then opened up one of the links with the plier hooked it to the end link to close the circle of the chain. To finish I sewed the chain onto the floppy hat on four separate but even spots so the chain stays in place.

Cute Summer sneakers!

If your not into flats, wedges or flip flops sneakers are also a cute way to show off some color on your feet. I found lots of different styles. Some with and with out laces. I would definitely recommend if you get any with out laces to add some but in a bright color like: fuchsia, neon yellow, lime green, orange, any fun color to make the sneaker pop! Enjoy.

A look into the 40's

Saturday night my husband and I went out to celebrate our friend Maria's birthday. She decided it was going to be themed 1940's. I wore a high collard teal-green blouse with bishop sleeves from Forever 21, a black pencil skirt from Express, Very Wang for Kohls slingback, a thrifted/vintage clutch, a feathered head piece I got at my local flea market and very simple jewelry; pearl earrings with pearl bracelets. My eye make up I kept very soft with a the classic liquid eye liner, but I used a gel instead and applied it with an eye angle brush. Since my make up was very soft I wanted my lips to pop so I used the color Euphoria from Covergirl. For my hair I followed simple instructions from Elegantly amused you tube video and it came out perfect. Enjoy!

The IT shoe!

I've come across this shoe so often that I can definitely say this is the summer IT shoe! It's such a fierce shoe that you could probably carry it through the fall and maybe even winter. I first came across this shoe on Dulecandy's blog. Then I came across it on a new blog I started following called The Jessica Harlow Blog. On Jessica's blog she actually has a coupon code (Jessica20) that you can use on karmaloop.com and save 20% of your purchase. And finally I came across it on my friends Eva's facebook page she was rockin it so well, that's when I said this is the IT shoe for the summer.
If your not comfortable purchasing online I also saw the shoe at Nordstrom, you could try it out at the store and then order them online to save the 20%. Enjoy!

Dulce is wearing the Paparazzi Pink.

Jessica is wearing the Nude leather.
